10 Twi Phrases You Should Know For The World Cup [AUDIO]

The World Cup is currently ongoing in South Africa, but for those of us who could not make the trip we are going to be glued to our TV sets. Okay, so what has a Twi article got to do with soccer, which is not even being played in Ghana?

Have you thought of the fact that you might watch some matches in a Twi person’s house or maybe at a pub or bar in Accra or Kumasi? Who knows… This will be a situation where knowing how to say simple phrases like ‘What are the teams?’, ‘Which team is stronger?’, ‘Which team is wearing the red shirts’ etc. in Twi may come in very handy. So for this World Cup opening day edition article, we shall learn 10 Twi phrases that will be very useful for the tournament.

If you are not so much of a soccer fan, don’t worry about anything, because these phrases can be used when any team sport is being played.

    I purchased the Learn Swahili programme and it worked fine. However just the other day I downloaded the update and now cannot access the programme at all. When I attempt to do so the initial screen pops up and then immediately goes off. I am using iPad 2.
