INTRODUCING YOURSELF

When you are introducing yourself to somebody you say

Wɔfrε me ___ I am ___

You can also say

Me din de ___ My name is ___

After this you ask the person’s name by saying

Wo din de sεn? What’s your name?

EASY CONVERSATION

After the initial introduction, you may want to add

Ɛte sεn? How are you?

To this statement you may hear

Ɛyε, meda ase, na wo nso ε? Fine, thanks, and you?

You may also hear just Ɛyε, which means It is fine or just Fine.

As your new friend warms up to you, he may ask where you are from

Wofiri hefa? Where are you from?

To this question, if say, you come from America may answer by saying

Mefiri USA I am from the USA

Remember that you say Mefiri and you add your country.

The next phrase assumes that this conversation is taking place in a restaurant, a pub, an eatery or a party. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a drink with your new friend? This is what to say

Wobεnom biribi anaa? Would you like to have a drink?

He or she should respond

Anka εbεyε me anigyeε With pleasure

So you see, hitting the initial rapport and proceeding to even have a drink can be easy with these phrases. I hope you found this article educative and informative. Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with some pics to drive the message home a little bit, but instead of that, this is fantastic blog. A great read. I’ll certainly be back.
